Colossians 4:2-6 Small Group Questions

Colossians 4:2-6 is a short but challenging passage.  Take time to reflect on the passage then in your group ask some of these questions.  The goal is not answers to questions but action plans.

  1. How would you describe your prayer life? (e.g., intense, lukewarm, sporadic, frustrating. . .)
  2. How would you like it to be different?
  3. What change would you need to make in order to improve your prayer life?
  4. Talk about specific answers to prayer? How have they encouraged you?
  5. Talk about specific answers to prayer–that where not what you hoped for? How did that encourage or discourage you?
  6. What are some prayer burdens that you currently have that clearly need God’s power to be answered?
  7. In what settings, what ways, are non-Christians exposed to you? How would they know that you are a fully devoted follower of Christ?
  8. Have you found ways to no-threateningly expose people to Jesus?
  9. What are some “salty” (tasteful) comments you’ve used or have heard to steer a conversation to Christ?
  10. What is your fear about sharing Christ? What is your joy about sharing Christ?

Author: Steve

I love to study the Bible and I love to engage with others in learning. I had been privileged to do this on a regular basis through church ministry and through part-time teaching at a local Bible colleges. Helping individuals learn to feed themselves through their own study of God’s Word is joy-giving to me. Influencing groups to do life and church from a biblically grounded, theologically faithful perspective is my passion.
