God is all powerful
—Even when I pray for a miracle and He gives sustaining grace
God is good
—Even when His timing does not match my desire
God is sovereign
—Even when I do not understand His plan, He meets needs I did not know I would have
God is merciful
—In all my sin, His mercy is inexhaustible
God is gracious
—In all my need, He sustains me and gives beyond what I could expect
God is unboxable
—Even though He is beyond my comprehension, I cannot exaggerate His character
God is omni-competent
—Even when my need is great, He is beyond capable
Therefore…
When I need hope, He is the answer
He is whom I must focus on
to have hope restored
When I face long nights, and chronic issues
He is whom I must run to
to have hope restored
He is the Hope Restorer
Therefore…
to have my hope restored
—requires trust and a willingness to surrender preoccupation
—requires uncommon joy that is produced by uncommon trust in an incomparable Lord
God sent Jesus Christ to become like us in order that we might have a relationship with Him. That relationship now is hope giving, certain anticipation for today, all of my tomorrows and for eternity.
May He be our Hope Restorer.
Philippians 4:4-8 and 1:19-20
