Worship

You make beautiful things

I had the opportunity last week to attend the Catalyst 2010 leadership conference in Atlanta.  An amazing, high energy conference with great speakers.  I’ll try to pass along some of the lessons–both the “take aways” and the “leave behinds.”  But one of the aspects of the conference was exposure to great worship leaders.  They never introduced themselves, which was a way to keep the focus on worshiping the Lord.  There was  one band that they introduced so I’m passing along a couple of songs from Gungor.

The first one, live, was amazing, high energy–amazed me with their instrumental abilities (6 members in the band).

Beautiful Things
All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all
All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found in You

You make me new, You are making me new

Doxology

You an also see a rustic rendition of  The Earth is Yours

The Earth is Yours
Verse 1:
Your voice it thunders
The oaks start twisting
The forest sounds with cedars breaking
The waters see You and start their writhing
From the depths a song is rising

Now it’s rising from the ground

Chorus:
Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy Lord the earth is Yours and singing
Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy Lord
The earth is Yours
The earth is Yours

Verse 2:
Your voice it thunders
The ground is shaking
The might mountains now are trembling
Creation sees You
And starts composing
The fields and trees they start rejoicing.

Now it’s rising from the ground

Bridge:
Now it’s rising from the ground
It’s rising from the ground
Hear us crying out
Hear us crying out

Author: Steve

I love to study the Bible and I love to engage with others in learning. I had been privileged to do this on a regular basis through church ministry and through part-time teaching at a local Bible colleges. Helping individuals learn to feed themselves through their own study of God’s Word is joy-giving to me. Influencing groups to do life and church from a biblically grounded, theologically faithful perspective is my passion.
